FIFA announces venues for the new Club World Cup in the United States

A Fifa announced this Saturday (28) the headquarters of Club World Cup (the new world cup)which starts in June 2025. The new competition model will have 32 teams, from the six federations linked to the entity, and will be played every four years. The first edition will be in the United States.

The entity revealed, at the Global Citizen Festival event, in Central Park, New York, that the matches will be played in Miami, Seattle, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, Nashville, Atlanta, Orlando, Charlotte, Washington, Philadelphia and New York/New Jersey (Metlife Stadium).

The latter will host the tournament final on July 13th. The 2026 World Cup final will also be played there. The cities were announced on a big screen after a speech by FIFA president, Gianni Infantino.

Three Brazilians are already guaranteed in the dispute: Palmeiras, Flamengo and Fluminense (winners of the 2021, 2022 and 2023 Libertadores, respectively). Atlético-MG and Botafogo can also qualify if they win this year’s edition of the continental competition.

Also already guaranteed: Auckland City (New Zealand), Pachuca (Mexico), León (Mexico), Seattle Sounders (USA), Monterrey (Mexico), Salzburg (Austria), Atlético de Madrid (Spain), Juventus (Italy), Borussia Dortmund (Germany), Benfica (Portugal), Porto (Portugal), Inter Milan (Italy), PSG (France), Bayern Munich (Germany) Manchester City (England), Real Madrid (Spain), Chelsea (England) , Ulsan (South Korea), Al Ain (United Arab Emirates), Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan), Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), ES Tunis Esperance (Tunisia), Wydad (Morocco) and Al Ahly (Egypt).
