Marian Studenic, who left the team in the middle of the Olympic qualifiers, is not eligible for the five-ring competition.

Slovakian a forward who left the national ice hockey team in the middle of the Olympic qualifiers Marian Studenic is not eligible for his country’s team in the Olympic Games in Milan.

Unsatisfied with his role, Studenic was banned from the national team after his trick. The head coach Vladimir Orzagh confirms that Studenic will not make it to the five-ring competition.

Playing in the KHL Adam Ruzicka instead fit for Orzagh’s crew. Ruzicka’s NHL career ended in the spring of 2024, when the Arizona Coyotes put him on the transfer list published on social media the cocaine video after.

Ruzicka appeared in the video with white powder in front of her.

“The cases are different. When Marian Studenic left the Olympic qualifiers, she caused problems for the team. Adam caused problems above all for himself,” Orzagh explains to the sports media For sports.

“Adam has figured out a lot of things and has had a good season.”

Adam Ruzicka (front) managed to play only three NHL games for the Arizona Coyotes before the Coyotes cut him from their crew due to a cocaine video in February 2024.

Studenic27, is playing his second season in the Swedish premier league in the SHL for Färjestad BK. He has played in the NHL for the New Jersey Devils, Dallas Stars and Seattle Kraken.

Last season, Studenic produced 14+30=44 points in 50 games in the regular season and collected 4+1=5 in six playoff games.

Ruzicka, 26, on the other hand, is playing for the second season in Moscow’s Spartak. Unlike many other countries, Slovakia has not prevented the selection of KHL players for its national team.

There is no Olympic break in the KHL, but Orzagh says that all Slovak players have a clause in their contracts that allows them to participate in the Olympics.

“But it’s the KHL, where everything can change in one day. We’re ready for all options,” says the head coach.
