Jannik Sinner becomes a duck, the tribute to ‘Mickey Mouse’ for the ATP Finals in Turin

Quacknik Spinner returns to ‘Mickey Mouse’, the duck version of his alter ego Jannik Sinner. In issue 3650 on newsstands from today, Wednesday 5 November, the weekly comic is preparing to celebrate the adrenaline of the ATP Finals with a new and exciting sports-themed adventure, ‘Paperinik and the final distractions’, written by Roberto Gagnor and designed by Alessandro Perina, also author of the cover dedicated to the tennis champion.

The plot

In this new adventure we find the young tennis ace together with a completely exceptional helper: Paperinik! The two form an unprecedented couple on the court of the PdP Finals, a prestigious tournament reserved for the best tennis players in Calisota sponsored by Uncle Scrooge himself. Between ingenious inventions, publicity stunts and lurking Dachshunds, the competition turns into a contest of cunning and sportsmanship… all to be followed until the last set.

Another Mickey Mouse homage to tennis

On the occasion of the ATP Finals, Panini Comics also presents ‘Tennis told by Mickey Mouse’, a new collectible Topolibro – also available from today Wednesday 5 November, only with Topolino 3650, on newsstands, comic shops and on Panini.it – which collects some of the most beautiful adventures dedicated to the sport of racket and its protagonists. Between “forehands and backhands”, the Disney Band takes to the court to tell stories related to the world of tennis with amusing gags, unlikely onomatopoeias and fun curiosities.

Inside the volume – enriched by the preface signed by the sports journalist Eleonora Cottarelli – stories full of “jokes” alternate such as ‘Uncle Scrooge and the unusual coach’, an adventure of Quacknik Spinner debuts on the pages of ‘Mickey Mouse’ signed by Roberto Gagnor and Alessandro Perina, the very funny ‘Paperoga and the unpredictable “service” by Enrico Faccini, ‘Mickey Mouse and his majesty’s racket’ by Sisto Nigro and Valerio Held, and other stories dedicated to this elegant and refined sport.
