Familiar Finns read all the Moomin books aloud on Yle

Tempaus is a continuation of the reading marathon organized on Independence Day 2024, where dozens of readers read aloud Väinö Linnan a novel The unknown soldier in a live video broadcast.

Excluding the picture books, Tove Jansson (1914–2001) wrote nine Moomin-themed books, and they are read by more than a hundred readers during the weekend. They have already promised to become readers, for example Kaija Koo, Alma Pöysti, Lauri Haav, Pekka Kuusisto, Elina Knihtilä and Christopher Strandberg. Yle is also asking the public for suggestions as readers of the live broadcast.
