Francesco Planckaert was the only traitor left in the final, but turned out to be no match for the allies. “I should have done it differently,” Francesco admits afterwards on the red carpet of the season finale ‘The Traitors’. “I should have stayed a little more in the background, but I became overconfident. That ruined me.”
Finale of ‘The Traitors’ takes a very unexpected turn: “This will be talked about a lot”
The candidates all saw each other again for the first time in Kinepolis Antwerp, where the final was broadcast on a big screen. Kinepolis made eight halls available for this purpose, accommodating more than two thousand spectators. “I didn’t expect so many people,” responds Yannick Noben. “What an intense adventure. It wasn’t easy, but we still managed it.”
Lynn Van den Broeck (32) also agrees. “This game is intense. Unfortunately I had to leave just before the end, but I was willing to make that sacrifice to ensure that the allies prevail. I am so proud of my fellow candidates.”

Spanning
Yet not everyone thinks the same. Ex-professional football player Olivier Deschacht (44) is still recovering from his adventure a year after the recordings. “Certain tensions linger. You can’t quite put your finger on it, but people with whom you have had a grudge continue to linger. So I have the feeling that things have not yet been completely resolved with Amelie.”
Can the traitors still look the allies in the eye? “Why not?” Francesco responds. “It’s a game and we all played it according to our roles. I know no one blames me for that.”
