Basketball: Franz Wagner is threatened with a longer break

World and European champion Franz Wagner is threatened with another forced break in the NBA. As was the case a year ago, the Orlando Magic basketball star was hit at the beginning of December. Wagner apparently injured his left knee in the game against the New York Knicks. The 24-year-old was holding his knee and initially couldn’t get up on his own, so he put his hands in front of his face. Wagner later limped towards the cabin with one leg supported on both sides. The franchise announced that the German international would not return to the field.

Wagner’s older brother Moritz tore a cruciate ligament in his left knee just over a year ago and missed this year’s European Championships. The 28-year-old is about to make his comeback with Orlando. Exactly a year ago to the day, the club announced that Franz Wagner was out due to an abdominal muscle injury. He was missing from his team for weeks afterwards.
