According to the current announcement, the new service will provide real-time data that includes sports results, stock prices, news and weather forecasts, results based on internet searches and collaborations with content and information providers. The company developed the new capability under the name SearchGPT, which was tested in a beta version starting last July.

According to Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, the system will allow users to search more naturally and conduct a dialogue about the search. The technology is based on the advanced generation of the company’s artificial intelligence model, GPT-4o.

In recent months, Google has also launched its own artificial intelligence tool called AI Overview, designed, among other things, to summarize search results. At the same time, the company also increased its investments in the field of artificial intelligence, with expenditures of 13.2 billion dollars in the second quarter of this year.

OpenAI recently completed a fundraising round at a valuation of $157 billion, in addition to receiving a $4 billion revolving line of credit. According to estimates, the company is expected to register revenues of 3.7 billion dollars this year.
