Beavers in the Czech Republic built a dam faster than officials

The bobra colony built several dams in the protected landscape zone of Bredu, in the Czech Republic, creating a natural water-bolot land in the right place. The authorities could not do this for more than five years.

The administration of the protected landscape territory of the BRDA, which received approval for a project worth 30 million kroons, encountered bureaucratic obstacles and tried to obtain the necessary permits for the construction of the VLTAVA River basin from the authorities. Local beavers were able to complete the project on the construction of the dam in just a couple of nights.

Animals built several dams in the area of Padrt ponds, restoring the natural nature of the water-bolot land in the reserve. The appearance of dams will improve the conditions for river inhabitants, including amphibian and rare stone cancer, reports čT24. In addition, the beavers helped to save more than $ 1.2 million to officials, said the head of the administration of the protected territory of BRDA Bogumil Fisher.

The plan for the construction of the dam in this place was approved in 2018. However, the process of collecting documents and obtaining building permits was very drawn.
