The Water Resources Authority announced an increase in water tariffs for households from July 1.
Water prices will rise in price by 1.2% (at a low tariff) and by 0.7% (at a high tariff). Thus, the cost of a cubic meter of water at a low tariff will be 7.6 shekels (instead of 7.54), and at a high tariff – 13.58 shekels (instead of 13.48).
Kan Bet radio station reported that the Association of Industrialists is accusing the Water Management Department of violating the agreements reached earlier. At the request of the radio station “Kan Bet”, the Department replied that it was a symbolic price increase. On average, an Israeli family’s water bill will increase by NIS 1.5 per month.
