Quality director of Barry Callebaut leaves company week after salmonella contamination

A Barry Callebaut CEO, responsible for innovation and quality, among other things, is leaving the company. The chocolate group announced this on Thursday.

Pablo Perversi – chief innovation, sustainability & quality officer – has decided to continue his career elsewhere, it says in a press release. He will leave the company on September 1. It is not yet known who will succeed him.

Barry Callebaut had to shut down his factory in Wieze in East Flanders last week due to a salmonella contamination. Wieze is home to the largest chocolate factory in the world.
