“Not Googly enough”: Google wants to pay $ 50 million to 4,000 black employees in lawsuit on discrimination

The American technology giant Google is willing to pay $ 50 million (44.4 million euros) to arrange a lawsuit on discrimination.

A group of black employees stated that the American technology company gave them hopeless jobs without promotion opportunities. The reimbursement would go to around 4,000 employees, according to a court document in California. The court still has to give the green light for the settlement.

Ex-employee April Curley said that recruitment managers did not find black candidates “googly” enough. In addition, they were given inappropriate questions during job interviews to harm their chances. She said she was fired when she complained and asked for reforms.
