Proximus receives IT contract of more than 100 million euros from NATO

Together with the French defense company Thales, Proximus will modernize the IT infrastructure of NATO. The telecom operator reports this on Tuesday in a press release. The company does not give financial details, but there is a “extensive project”.

According to the L’Echo newspaper, this is a contract of more than 100 million euros.

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) selected the consortium of Proximus and Thales to manage and exploit the NATO network. The project runs until the end of 2029. It must result in an “ultramodern, integrated technology ecosystem”, which drastically improves “daily operation and cooperation between NCIA users”.
