Dinar card payments on the Internet in Serbia recorded a growth of 70 percent compared to last year, while in card stores in the second quarter of this year were used almost 90 million times, which is 28.36 percent more than in the same period last year, she announced today First bank.

The number of dinar transactions paid by card via the Internet more than doubled in 2020 compared to 2019, more precisely it was higher by 103.55 percent, it was specified in the announcement.
The latest data show that the newly acquired habits have been retained and that citizens have clearly seen the many benefits of buying and “banking from the armchair”.
Electronically, without going to the bank, accounts are increasingly opened and applications for cash loans are submitted.
According to the report of the National Bank of Serbia for the second quarter of this year, the number of users of electronic banking increased by 12.8 percent, and mobile banking by 33 percent compared to 2020.
More than 23,000 financial services contracts have been concluded at a distance.
In the same quarter, about 7.6 million online transactions were made with payment cards and electronic money, more than in the entire 2018.
Compared to the same period last year, this represents an increase of 55.39 percent, and the growth is even higher if you look only at dinar card payments on domestic sites – there were 70 percent more than in 2020.
In the second quarter of this year, the acceptance network of cards was expanded to a total of 109,787 POS terminals, which is 15.36 percent, ie 14,617 new devices more, and the number of sites that receive them increased by 77.37 percent.

“Bearing in mind that the pandemic has changed the habits of all of us and that we are trying in every way to avoid going indoors when there is an alternative, we, together with our partners from Visa, have decided to further encourage electronic services,” they said. First bank.
As specified, by the end of November, new clients who submit a request to open a dinar account online, after the first three uses of the Visa Classic debit card at POS terminals or online (for amounts greater than 1,000 dinars), will receive 3,000 dinars as a gift.
