The UseAllFood mobile application, which informs users in Serbian about the condition of food in the refrigerator and thus helps them throw away less food, is available to Serbian citizens as of today.
The application was developed by the local company HyperEther from Novi Sad.
All users need to do in order to use the groceries they bought on time is to take a photo of the refrigerator every day, and the application automatically processes the information from the photo and informs about the condition of the groceries based on that.
In addition to enabling users to better plan food procurement and storage, the goal of this app is also to help reduce the amount of food waste in households.
The UseAllFood (Zero Food Waste Household) initiative to reduce food waste, implemented by HyperEther, was chosen as one of the best solutions in the public call “Bio.Waste Management Challenge”, organized by the United Nations Development Program in Serbia (UNDP) in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Serbia, with the financial support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
