Gate manufacturer from Burgenland goes bankrupt again

The DSA Door Systems GmbH which moved its headquarters from Graz to Güssing following a restructuring process last year insolvent again.

On the Gate manufacturer A revived restructuring procedure without self-administration was opened at the Eisenstadt regional court, the Alpine Creditors Association (AKV) reported on Monday. This affects 21 employees and around 110 creditors. The company is to be continued.

Tense situation at the construction site

Liabilities amounting to 3.3 million euros are offset by assets of 1.5 million. According to AKV, the company, which sells its products as a licensee under the “Guttomat” brand, attributes the renewed insolvency to the still tense situation in the construction and construction-related industries.

Due to the general negative economic development, the restructuring steps taken so far have not had the expected effects – although production was outsourced from industrial locations and the number of employees was reduced. In addition, the design department and the assembly department were closed or outsourced.

The previous restructuring process in Graz was legally canceled in August 2024 after the adoption of a restructuring plan with a quota of 20 percent, payable within two years. A quota of 12.5 percent had already been paid by the company, meaning that it had repaid 62.5 percent of the original creditor claims, according to the AKV.

The previous demand is therefore being revived at 37.5 percent. The restructuring plan now offered also provides for 20 percent, payable within two years. The quota is to be financed from the continuation.
