On the evening of Sunday, November 23, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with the leadership of the Ministry of Finance, at which the main parameters of the state budget for 2026 will be discussed.
The main disagreements between the Ministry of Finance and the IDF concern the size of the defense budget.
In addition, changes in tax legislation are discussed. We are talking about property and land taxes, as well as the Ministry of Finance’s plans to reduce income taxes, despite the expected large deficit in 2026.
The draft state budget must be submitted for final government approval on December 4. The draft budget will go to the Knesset for its first reading in January.
