Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the Russian gas giant Gazprom to increase gas supplies to the European Union (EU), since Russia’s reserves have been filled.

Europe, a third of whose gas comes from Russia, is facing rising gas prices, amid rising gas demand and an improved corona virus epidemic.

Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said today that it was planned to complete filling Russia’s gas reserves by November 8, after which an increase in EU gas supplies would follow. //
