“Since the beginning of this year, the Chinese economy has continued to recover, and employment, prices and international payments have remained at normal levels and it is estimated that its growth will exceed the expected goal,” Liu He said, according to the Chinese media group.

He pointed out that China would “maintain the continuity, stability and sustainability of macro-policy next year and make more efforts to stimulate the vitality of micro-entities, create good expectations for the market and create a better environment for small and medium enterprises, large enterprises and foreign-financed enterprises.”

“We have full confidence in China’s economy next year,” Liu said, adding that “China is accelerating its new development strategy, the double-circulation paradigm.”

Liu He said that China and Europe, as driving forces for the recovery of the world economy, should continue to strengthen pragmatic economic and trade cooperation in the post-epidemic era.

“They should jointly promote green and low-carbon transformation, deepen trade and investment cooperation, and maintain a secure and uninterrupted supply chain,” the Chinese vice president said.
