Gender equality in the German government: an equal number of ministers and ministers

Germany’s next government will be made up of an equal number male and female ministers, as former Chancellor Olaf Schultz has previously promised. This became clear today (Monday) when the Social Democratic Party, which heads the coalition together with the “Greens” and the Liberals, announced the staffing of the government ministries assigned to it as part of the next coalition. Eight ministers and eight ministers will serve in the next government, with Schultz serving as chancellor.
