How did it go for Almaviva’s 658 workers who risked losing their jobs

First meeting to discuss the change of contract for WindTre’s outsourced Customer Care services between Almaviva Contact (outgoing), Network Contacts (successor), the national and territorial secretariats of the trade unions and the Rsu. THE658 workers are interested, of which 533 in Palermo, 3 in Naples and 122 in Milan.

Those currently employed in the 1500 order are not included (Ministry of Health), not having completed the requisites envisaged by the social clause. These workers will continue to work at Almaviva Contact Spa.

Network Contacts, while underlining an important theme of volumes, declared that he wanted to detect all workers involved in the change of contract with the application of the social clause. The work site identified should be the one used by Windtre in via Lanza di Scalea (Palazzo Gamma), although a mixed work arrangement from home and in presence is expected.

The transition of male and female workers will take place on a single date yet to be defined and, if conditions permit, it could also take place before March 30, 2022, expiry date of the extension to Almaviva. The trade unions said they “appreciated the initial approach of Network Contacts which is committed to guaranteeing the entire occupational perimeter”.

The meeting has been updated to a future meeting, the date of which will be agreed shortly, to go into detail on the individual aspects of the social clause and to define the transition times.
