According to the London Stock Exchange, the price of gas rose from hour to hour today, to reach the historical record of 2,120 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters for delivery in January, RTS reported tonight.

This morning, the Russian company Gazprom suspended the delivery of gas to Germany through the Yamal Europe gas pipeline, and that is why Germany is supplied with Russian gas only through the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline.

As it was stated, Gazprom explained that Germany did not reserve capacities for the delivery of gas through the Yamal Europe gas pipeline, which transports that fuel through Poland to Germany.

“Some Western politicians have accused Russia of reducing gas supplies to Europe due to political disputes, but the Kremlin and Berlin claim that this is a commercial problem,” RTS reported.
