Thomas Posch and Florian Kazalek will set the course for the ÖBB competition in the future
After ten years as managing director of Westbahn and longstanding board member of Rail Holding, Erich Forster will retire on February 28, 2022. From March 1st, Thomas Posch and Florian Kazalek will head Rail Holding as board members and Westbahn Management as managing directors.
After studying spatial planning at the Vienna University of Technology, Posch worked in various functions in the ÖBB Group from 1997 and has been on board at Westbahn since 2013. Kazalek studied business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and in the USA. He started his professional career in the automotive industry in 2002 as a trainee and project controller at BMW in Munich. Since it was founded in 2009, he has been Chief Financial Officer at Westbahn. In addition, he has also been one of the managing directors of Güterbahn Traktion GmbH since October 2019.
