EPS: We are paying 35 million euros for the excavator
Today, the Electric Power Industry of Serbia (EPS) denied the allegations of the Democratic Party about the procurement of a rotary excavator for the “Radljevo” mine and announced that the agreed price with the installation was 35,489,827 euros.

The Democratic Party announced today that EPS is in the process of purchasing an excavator and that three million euros more than needed could be spent on that job.

“The rotary excavator that is being purchased costs around 30 million euros, and with the installation the whole job cannot cost more than 35 million euros. According to the workers, EPS has already agreed on this job in the amount of as much as 38 million euros,” the party said. .

The announcement of EPS points out that the data from the tender process are public and all those interested can check them on the public procurement portal.

“During the procurement procedure, all procedures were followed, and it is obvious that DS sources received an additional three million euros,” the EPS said in a statement.

As explained, two bids were submitted to the tender on July 1, 2021, and the contract was awarded to the first-placed consortium consisting of Energotehnika-Južna Bačka, renowned German company Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions AG, as well as domestic companies ATB FOD Bor, Railway Factory vehicles Želvoz, Company Euro – Metal Ub, Feromont inženjering Belgrade, Goša montaža, Logo centar Vrbas, DOO IT inženjering Belgrade, Elektromontaža Kraljevo, Vatrosprem inovacije Beograd and BPP Group Belgrade.

The second offer from the Polish company amounted to 45 million euros and was rejected as invalid because it was higher than the estimated value of the purchase, it is added in the announcement of EPS.
