The Minister for the Care of the Village, Milan Krkobabic, said today that Serbian citizens abroad have expressed their readiness to form foundations and get involved in the purchase of empty rural houses in Serbia.

The ministry said that they intend to use those houses, and they are ready to give them to young people who would like to live in them permanently.

Krkobabic called on wealthy individuals, owners of successful companies, to show a high degree of social corporate responsibility and join the action and also buy part of the rural houses that would be given for use to those who are interested in living in them.

“Either we will save the villages, or Serbia is writing badly. We must all be aware that this is a patriotic task and ready to act united,” Krkobabic said on RTS.
