The traditional Mowing on Rajac started today, and the event, which also has an international character, was visited by more than 20,000 people from Serbia, the region and distant countries such as Canada, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications announced.
Opening the event, the Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Tatjana Matić, wished the participants “soft grass and a good mowing” and announced further support for such events, the relevant ministry announced.
She said that she should be proud of the tradition, and emphasized the importance of events such as the Mowing on Rajac for the development of tourism.
“Such events actually make our identity authentic and how we are recognized in the world, and the attendance of Kosidba on Rajac confirms that today,” said Matić.
She said that today’s tourists want an authentic experience and special value “, and that Serbia can offer them that.
From 2015 to 2021, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications allocated 10.2 million dinars for the development of tourism in the municipality of Ljig, and 7.8 million dinars for the manifestation Mowing on Rajac.
