AGI – Inflation in the United States is running beyond expectations: in May, on an annual basis, it recorded an increase of 5%, against the previous 4.2%, and over expectations of 4.7%. This is the strongest increase since August 2008. On a monthly basis, it grew by 0.6%, compared with an estimated 0.4% and 0.8% in April. Core inflation rose 0.7% versus the expected 0.4%.
