The State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Gojko Stanivuković, stated today that in the budget for this year, special attention is paid to the allocation of funds for children, veterans-disabled and social protection, it was announced from this Ministry.
At the Thematic Social Dialogue on the Social Protection System in Serbia, Stanivuković said that “the rebalance of the budget for this year has determined more than 141 billion dinars for the most endangered categories.”
“By far the most money is planned for the protection of families and children, more than 64 billion, as well as for social protection beneficiaries, in the amount of more than 26 billion dinars. Among other things, the amount of about 21 billion dinars has been allocated for the activities of social protection institutions.” , said Stanivuković.
He said the state had managed to “react in a timely manner and reduce the negative consequences of the coronavirus pandemic” and that thanks to a four-year budget surplus and “crisis reserves”, two aid packages were paid to the economy last year, and a third this year. which is a total of about eight billion euros “for the first time in history”.
