Croatia had 3.7 million tourists and 25 million overnight stays in July, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports reported today, according to whose data arrivals are at the level of 80 percent of the record 2019, and overnight stays at the level of 81 percent.
According to the “eVisitor” system, out of a total of 25 million overnight stays, 21.6 million were realized by foreign tourists, and 3.3 million by domestic ones, the HINA agency reported.
In July this year, compared to July last year, there were 47 percent more arrivals and 33 percent more overnight stays.
Most tourist overnight stays, 6.7 million, were in the Istria County, followed by the Split.Dalmatia and Primorje.Gorski Kotar County, followed by the Zadar, Šibenik.Knin and Dubrovnik.Neretva Counties (1.5 million overnight stays).
Rovinj had the most overnight stays (909,000), followed by Vir (856,000) and Poreč (734,000).
The largest number of overnight stays are tourists from Germany (4.4 million), followed by Slovenes (3.7 million), Poles (2.4 million), Czechs (2.0 million) and Austrians “(1.9 million overnight stays”.
Most overnight stays were in household facilities, followed by camps and hotels.
