Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman left on Wednesday evening, March 23, for a working visit to Cyprus and the UK. This is the minister’s first trip abroad since he took office.
In Nicosia, Lieberman will meet with the Ministers of Finance and Energy of Cyprus, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and leaders of the Cypriot industry and economy. During the visit, the strengthening of bilateral trade, issues of energy cooperation, etc. will be discussed.
After that, Lieberman will fly to London, where he will meet with the British Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Governor of the Bank of England, as well as with the leaders of the financial and banking sectors of the United Kingdom. During the visit, the attraction of British financial institutions to the Israeli market will be discussed.
