Australia cut off alumina supplies to Russia to hit aluminum production

The Australian government announced a ban on the supply of alumina and bauxite to Russia, which are necessary for aluminum production.

According to Canberra, Australia accounted for 20% of Russian imports of these raw materials, so the cessation of supplies will affect the production capacity of enterprises producing aluminum.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison also announced that Australia would donate 70,000 tons of coal to Ukraine, $22.3 million in humanitarian aid, and $15.6 million in ammunition and ammunition.
