A coordination table has been opened at the Ministry of Agriculture

A coordination table for work in agriculture has been established, in which ministries, unions and organizations will be able to discuss labor costs, manpower procurement, flow management, training and simplification. This was made known by the undersecretary of Masaf, Patrizio La Pietra, at the end of the meeting held at the ministry with the representatives of Agricultural redemption.

“When no one defended farmers we were at their side, in the Italian squares as well as in the halls of the European Parliament. Now that we are a government force we defend the agricultural world with the same conviction and together with Minister Lollobrigida we reiterated this, meeting the representatives of Riscatto Agricultural: A closeness that passes through concrete actions and clear answers to the points we discussed at Masaf, starting from the defense of farmers in Europe”, explains La Pietra.

“After years of choices based on the logic of radical pseudo environmentalism, which have caused incalculable damage to the European agricultural world, we want – he continues – to change community policy and we want to do it in perfect synergy with those who live and work in the fields. It’s time to make a change of pace on community agricultural policy by simplifying the delivery of aid, avoiding financial cuts saying enough to the shame of aid for not producing”.

The Undersecretary for Agriculture continues: “A clear and fair concept must apply to Irpef, no to a generalized exemption that also concerns large companies and yes to catering to farmers with lower incomes, limiting the Irpef exemption to agricultural and Sunday incomes that do not exceed the amount of 10,000 euros. The majority of farmers will benefit.”
La Pietra specifies: “In the next few weeks the Government will open a discussion with the Regions and agricultural organizations to identify the supply chains to which the first support interventions will be allocated, but as rightly highlighted by the farmers we must also work on an organic reform of the insurance system, so as to lower the costs of insurance policies for farmers, expand the pool of insured people and support farmers against catastrophic risks”.
