Israel: The Ministry of Transport approved the increase in taxi fares

The Ministry of Transport announced an increase in fares for taxis and fixed-route taxis. From April 1, tariffs will increase by 3.8%. This is the first increase in the tariff in the last two years.

The ministry emphasizes that this is an automatic mechanism for indexing tariffs in connection with the increase in the cost of servicing a taxi, including an increase in prices for diesel fuel and spare parts.

The basic taxi fare will increase by 40 agorot to NIS 11.08, while the minute/kilometer fare will increase by 7 agorot to NIS 1.74. In fixed-route taxis, the fare will rise by 3.8% of the tariff in force in each city.
