The President of the Municipal Assembly of Ćuprija, Ninoslav Erić, said that he expected that a German factory for the production of parts for SMP Automotive cars would be opened in that place at the beginning of October, where 450 workers would be employed at first.

The factory is being built in the Industrial Zone Dobričevo, for the equipment of which Ćuprija received funds from the Government of Serbia.

“Apart from the industrial part, there will also be a zone for trade, sports and recreation. We expect more large investors in the Dobricevo Industrial Zone,” Eric said.

So far, about 150 million dinars have been spent on the infrastructural equipment of the Dobricevo Industrial Zone.

“The next investment will be focused on the construction of a road that will run parallel to the highway and which will connect the road to Despotovac and Senj, and in the construction of which more than 560 million dinars will be invested,” he said.

Next week, a public procurement will be announced with the rehabilitation of the road to Ivankovac, in the part leading to the factory, for which 60 million dinars will be allocated.

As previously mentioned, the 19,000-square-meter plant in Ćuprija will produce interior doors and control panels for premium-class motor vehicles.

This company is one of the 20 world leaders in the production of outdoor and indoor car modules.

The production is part of the project of support to information in the public interest, which is co-financed by the Municipality of Ćuprija. The views expressed are not necessarily those of the Municipality.
