The guides filed a lawsuit with the High Court demanding compensation from the state

Moreshet Derekh, the Association of Guides and about 40 guides filed a lawsuit with the High Court of Justice against Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman, Tourism Minister Yoel Razvozov and the Knesset.

The plaintiffs seek compensation for the period from July 2021 to June 2022 due to restrictions on the access of foreign tourists to Israel.

The lawsuit asks the High Court to oblige the defendants to explain why no decision was made on the right of Israeli guides working with foreign tourists to receive compensation in connection with the loss of income caused by restrictions on the admission of foreign tourists to Israel.

According to the lawsuit, the actions of the defendants caused catastrophic and unlawful damage to the ability of guides to earn a decent income, depriving them of clients and, from July 2021, state support.
