The Ministry of Village Care announced that a public competition was announced today for the allocation of non.refundable funds for the purchase of minibuses for the needs of transporting the rural population on the territory of Serbia, which lasts until September 3 this year.

“In the villages of Serbia today, the question is how to get from one village to another, how to get to the first city to school, to the doctor, to the municipal or post office. The needs are real and everyday, and the distances are small but seemingly insurmountable. This is the first step to bring closer to the inhabitants of the village what is at hand in larger places, and what are the needs of all of us “, said the Minister for the Care of the Village Milan Krkobabi─ç on the occasion of announcing the competition.

It is reminded that the program envisages the allocation of non.refundable funds for the purchase of minibuses that will serve exclusively for the needs of transporting the rural population from one village to another, or from the village to the city or municipal headquarters.

The submitter of the application for the public competition can be local self.governments from the entire territory of Serbia, and the maximum amount of funds for these purposes per one application is seven million dinars.

120 million dinars have been allocated for this program in the budget of Serbia.

It was pointed out that its realization solves the basic needs of the rural population, with the aim of enabling a better quality of life in rural areas, better connectivity and meeting the needs of the population of administrative, educational and medical nature.
