Ten days before the harvest, raspberry buyers in Serbia offer producers a price of 280 to 320 dinars per kilogram, and for organic raspberries from 340 to 360 dinars.
The president of the Association of Raspberry and Blackberry Producers in Serbia, Dobrivoje Radovic, told Beta that the price increased compared to last year when it was around 220 dinars, but that it was not “great” because everything went up, from agro-technical measures to protection products.
Raspberry had the best price in 2007 and 2008 and cost from 2.4 to 2.7 euros per kilogram, which is approximately the prices offered now, but that, as he said, is only a nominal equalization, and in reality everything went up by several tens. percent, so the current offered price is not worth the same as 13-14 years ago.
“The price has risen due to reduced supply at the largest producers in Chile and Poland, and in Serbia due to damage from storms and clogged babies. It is estimated at this time that in Serbia this year the yield will be halved from an average of about 82,000 tons,” he said. Radovic.
He pointed out that the forecasts about the genus are preliminary because the storm with the city hit Lucane, Cacak, Guca, Pozega today, and it remains to be seen how much damage there is.
He said that the kids were damaged by snow, frost and now the city this year, and that the Ivanjica area was “saved a few days ago by the fact that the Ministry of Agriculture doubled the number of rockets”.
“If 38 anti-hail rockets had not been fired in 15 minutes a few days ago, there would probably be nothing left in the Ivanjica area,” said Radović.
He added that, despite the subsidies, a small number of producers insured the children because they lost confidence in insurance companies that do not objectively assess the damage caused.
