United Group (United) announced today that it has reached an agreement on the takeover of the Greek telecommunications operator Wind Hellas with the company Crystal Almond.

Wind Hellas is one of the three leading mobile operators in Greece, and in addition to mobile services, it also provides fixed, internet and television services for a total of 4.2 million users, generating annual revenues of over 500 million euros.

The takeover of the Greek operator is expected after the usual approvals of the regulator during 2022.

“The acquisition will enable United Group, together with pay.TV operator Nova, which is already owned by the Group in Greece, to create a strong operator and take second place in the market when it comes to both fixed and television services,” the company said in a statement.

Within the United Group, the leading telecommunications and media operator in Southeast Europe, SBB and its services EON and Total TV operate in Serbia, and the services of television and portals Sport Klub, Nova S and N1 are available.
