Sodexo issues a warning to service check users about phishing

Sodexo is warning service check users of a “extensive phishing effort” on Friday evening. The corporation adds that none of its internal IT systems have been harmed.

This is an e-mail sent on behalf of Sodexo to users of service vouchers with the subject “New terms to be confirmed or challenged.” They are instructed to make a sound on a link.

“This is a sophisticated phishing attempt that could result in bank fraud if the email receiver follows the instructions,” Sodexo, which issues service checks, warned in a statement late Friday. People who got the email are being advised not to open it, according to the business.

“Sodexo’s security team evaluated the incident immediately and verified that the integrity of Sodexo’s IT systems was never affected,” the company claimed. “The data was never exposed in any way through his systems.”
