Acting Director of “Post of Serbia” Zoran Djordjevic talked today with Chinese Ambassador to Belgrade Chen Bo about starting negotiations between public postal operators of Serbia and China, with the aim of ensuring uninterrupted and stable delivery of items to customers in Serbia generated by online trade, on the platforms of Chinese sellers. and Chen Bo agreed that, due to the development of e.commerce, increase in the number of items in postal flows, after the easing of global pandemic measures, as well as increased demands from users that the purchased goods be delivered to them as soon as possible, it is necessary that the Serbian Post and China Post joint responses by establishing direct cooperation.

“Ensuring stable delivery of shipments from international traffic, facilitating transport routes and meeting customer requirements for the shortest possible delivery times for shipments from international traffic and from China, is the common task of our tightly connected and friendly countries, whose trade is growing,” said Djordjevic. –

He added that new ways and new delivery routes, as well as increasing logistics capacities for receiving goods, generated by internet trade, are modern needs to which “Post of Serbia” will adequately respond with the help of China Post, one of the world leaders in transport, logistics and postal traffic.

“For the realization of these goals, we plan new investments and the purchase of the most modern equipment,” said Djordjevic.

The statement points out that it is expected that with the introduction of a direct flight to Beijing, the problems in the flow of online trade will be eliminated, and the route of shipments will be significantly cheaper and faster.
