The Prime Minister Ana Brnabić stated today in Arilje that 2.2 billion dinars were set aside in the second cycle of the “My First Salary” program, RTS reported.

Brnabic said that she hopes that in that cycle, work experience will be provided for 10,000 young people.

She said that, in the second cycle, which started seven days ago with a call to companies, “even better” results are expected than in the first.

During the visit to the family textile company “Boa” Bogutovo in Arilje, Brnabic invited young people to apply for that program from the beginning of October.

According to her, the government has allocated slightly larger funds for the second cycle, “2.2 billion dinars in total”.

“We will increase the fees we give from the budget, for young people with secondary education, the financial compensation will now be 22,000 dinars a month, and 26,000 dinars for those with higher education,” she said.

She assessed that “there is room” for companies in which young people gain their first work experience to, as she assessed, “supplement this (compensation from the budget) financially and increase the monthly compensation”.

She added that the most important thing for young people is to gain experience and for a large number of them to stay at work, and to gain their first job.

“We hope that in the second cycle we will succeed in providing work experience for 10,000 young people,” said Brnabić.

The program “My first salary” intended for young people in order to gain work experience, which included 8,400 of them in the last cycle, showed good results because most of them established employment.
