On May 1, gasoline will rise in price by 12 agorot

The Ministry of Energy announced that on the night of Sunday, May 1, the cost of a liter of gasoline with an octane rating of 95 in Israel will increase by 12 agorot and will amount to 7.06 shekels for self-service.

A liter of gasoline in Eilat will rise in price by 11 agorot to 6.04 shekels for self-service.

The main reason for the rise in price this time is the weakening of the shekel against the dollar, to which the excise indexation was added.

It should be reminded that in mid-April the Ministry of Finance reduced the excise tax on gasoline by 50 agorot per liter. The reduction will be valid for three months.
