Bitcoin Drops to Lowest Since Mid – February

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are losing value as many central banks tighten monetary policy. On Friday, Bitcoin’s price fell to about $35,500, its lowest level since mid-February.

On Thursday, the value also fell by about $3,000.

Many central banks, including the US and the UK, have raised interest rates in the fight against rising inflation. Rising interest rates typically weigh on riskier assets such as cryptocurrencies, as they make fixed-income alternatives more attractive.
