Another area that tends to upset customers is green mutual funds. Because the classification of which funds are actually only invested in sustainable areas and where more “greenwashing” – i.e. green eyewashing – is carried out is in the hands of the providers. Despite this, “green” investment funds are booming. Every third euro is already managed according to sustainability criteria. However, the market is largely “light green”, as the FMA bosses say.
