Israeli Minister of Science and Technology Orit Farkas HaCohen and Foreign Minister of Ecuador Juan Carlos Holguin signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation in science and technology.
The document was signed during the visit of the President of Ecuador to Israel. Guillermo Lasso became the first Ecuadorian president to visit a Jewish state. “The purpose of the visit is to expand cooperation in the science-intensive field, including in business. Israel is one of the leaders in the field of high technologies,” the head of state said.
“I welcome the President, who arrived in Israel on his first important visit. The opening of an innovation center in Jerusalem will contribute to the development of technological cooperation between our countries,” said Farkas HaCohen.
The President is accompanied by about 100 politicians, officials and entrepreneurs. With a delegation to Israel arrived 50 experts in the field of high technology. They will stay for two weeks to familiarize themselves with the Israeli experience.
