Top model Naomi Campbell is suspected of financial crimes

British top model Naomi Campbellia54, is suspected of financial crimes, reports news agency AFP.

Investigations by the British authorities have revealed that the funds collected by Fashion for Relief, a charity founded by the model, have been used for things like travel and cigarettes.

Between 2016 and 2022, the organization collected 5.7 million euros, of which only 456,000 euros went to charity.

The Guardianin according to Campbell’s organization spent tens of thousands of euros on flights, luxury hotels and spa treatments, among other things. According to research, the organization’s funds have also paid for Campbell’s personal cigarettes and consulting fees for the model’s colleagues.

Campbellia has been banned from serving on the board of his organization founded in 2006. The British authorities have banned tailing for five years. Also for those on the organization’s board Veronica Choulle and Bianka Hellmichille has been banned for years.

The organization has defended itself by saying that the charity does more than just fundraise. Fashion for Relief was deregistered as a charity earlier this year.

According to AFP, Campbell denies responsibility for misuse of donations. Cambpell was in Paris on Thursday to receive the award of the French Order of Honor.

“I was not responsible for my organization’s donations, but I gave the responsibility to the lawyer,” the model defended herself to the press on Thursday.
