Disney celebrates the European Snow White premiere at the Alcázar de Segovia with a surprise performance by Rachel Zegler

Disney has chosen the city of Segovia, and more specifically its Alcazar, to celebrate the launch in Europe of White’s, the new real action film based on the children’s classic that will arrive at the cinemas in our country on March 21.

With the iconic Segovian castle that inspired the history of background white, the protagonist of the new version of one of the great Disney classics, Rachel Zegler surprised attendees playing live the original song “Waiting on a wish”.

Dressed as an authentic princess of the Disney factory with a spectacular white gauze design with three -dimensional floral embroidery, parts of lace and frontal opening, the new Snow White, winner of a Golden Globe by West Side Story, was accompanied by the film director Marc Webbas well as fans and families that belong to different foundations with which Disney collaborates in Spain, such as Aladina, without damage, gamegatherapy, little desire and Cemu.

The scenario chosen for this European presentation of one of the great premieres of the season, the Alcázar de Segovia, a medieval strength of the twelfth century that was the inspiration for the castle that appears in the Disney film of 1937 Snow White and the seven dwarfs. Considered one of the most extraordinary castles in Europe, its unmistakable silhouette is emblem of the old city of Segovia, World Heritage for UNESCO.

In the new real version, a musical reinterpretation of the classic, starring Rachel Zegler y Gal Gadot -What interprets the strain of Snow White, the evil queen- The production design team has been inspired by several European castles, incorporating architectural elements of different styles, such as Gothic and Bavarian.

Some of the features that can be seen in the new film have parallels with the Alcázar of Segovia, such as a Gothic tower topped by a large panoramic terrace with pointed arches, the throne room, the weapons room, the foundations excavated in the rock on which the castle and the well of the terrace of kings is based, originally designed to store water in case of siege. Hence, Disney has chosen this emblematic place for the launch of Snow White in Europe.

We will still have to wait a few days to see this new real and musical version of one of the most iconic Disney tapes, which opens in cinemas next Friday, March 21.
