National Heritage celebrates October 12 with an open day

National Heritage will celebrate this October 12 with an open house in their royal sites and royal patronages on the occasion of the National Holiday, as reported by the institution.

It is an invitation to all citizens to celebrate the anniversary by visiting these spaces of incalculable cultural, heritage and historical value.

In this way, with the usual hours of a holiday, Visitors may request their entry in person at the ticket offices of the different royal sites and royal patronages.. In total, eleven monuments from three autonomous communities can be accessed for free: Community of Madrid, Castilla y León and the Balearic Islands.

At Madrid’s royal palace The open day will take place after the reception of the Kings. The public can visit the Plaza de la Armería and the Real Armería with free admission between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The last access will be at 17:00. The rest of the interiors will remain closed.

What’s more, the Campo del Moro It will open from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, the royal palaces of Aranjuez, El Pardo, La Granja and Riofrío and Aranjuez and the Valley of the Fallen will be open to the public from 10 a.m. : 00 to 18:00 hours. The Royal Palace of La Almudaina will open from 12:00 to 18:00.

In all these cases, the last access will be at 5:00 p.m. The forests and gardens of these royal sites will remain open during their normal hours.

As to the Royal Monasteries, La Encarnación, in Madrid, will be open to visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Those of Santa María de Las Huelgas de Burgos and Santa Clara in Tordesillas will open from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. In all of them the visit will be guided and the last access will be one hour before closing.
