Naomi Beckwith, the curator of the next Documenta, censored a work in Paris that no one had yet significantly protested against. What this can already be expected for Kassel.

Now they don’t just have an exhibition in Paris from the next Documenta curator. Now in Paris – as at the last Documenta – one of the works shown was removed shortly after the opening. The curator who will be responsible for the major exhibition in Kassel in two years is called Naomi Beckwith, is based at the Guggenheim in New York and is considered diplomatic. The exhibition she has now made is taking place in the Palais de Tokyo, the exhibition palace with the youthful temporary use charm on the Seine. The exhibit that was removed was from Cameron Rowland, born in 1988, also based in New York, and it consisted of a flag.
