The film is nominated for best film, best director and best screenplay. Morning Milonoff is nominated for the Jussi award for best leading actor. The movie was written by them Ilona Ahti and Daniela Hakulinen.
Girls girls girls received the audience award in the international competition series of the Sundance Film Festival in the United States in January 2022.

Jussi award candidates the selective Filmiaura has given up gendered acting awards. The Jussi awards for the best actor are currently awarded in four categories: leading role, supporting role, newcomer actor and bright spot on the big screen, Filmiaura says in its announcement.
The New Actor award can be received either for the main or supporting role. According to Filmiaura, the award can be given to an actor who is new to the big screen or “has reached a new level in his acting career”.
The criteria for the award include that the actor has not previously been nominated for the Jussi award in the acting categories. In addition, the candidate may have previously played a maximum of two main roles in a feature film.
The “light spot” nomination can be given to an actor who has touched, delighted, scared, cried, provoked or entertained, especially in his/her film role or roles of that year, according to Filmiaura.
Jussi awards will be distributed on Friday, March 24.
The Jussi candidates are selected annually by an expert jury consisting of professionals, together with Filmiaura’s board. The Jussi award winners are chosen by the membership of Filmiaura ry by closed ticket voting.
