MADRID, 6 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Guadalajara, capital of the Mexican state of Jalisco, will be the guest of honor city of FREE 2021 which, organized by Ifema Madrid and promoted by FGEE, It will be held this year in the Spanish capital from October 13 to 15.
On the occasion of its presence at the International Book Fair, it is preparing a program of cultural activities that will take place in various stages of Madrid.
For 35 years it has hosted the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) every year, considered the most important editorial meeting held in Latin America. This is an event in which authors, editors and professionals from the book sector from all continents and different languages participate, and current issues and news from the book sector are discussed.
In addition, the city has been chosen by UNESCO ‘World Book Capital‘in 2022. This year, LIBER 2021 will become the great showcase of the Spanish book sector for three days, with special attention to digital content, new publishers, desktop publishing, services to the publishing industry and intellectual property.
LIBER is a meeting point for the sector and “a fundamental export, sales and knowledge center for the Spanish book industry at a very necessary time to regain commercial momentum, especially in relation to foreign trade”, according to the organizers.
LIBER 2021, organized by IFEMA MADRID and the FGEE is a fair sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, ICEX Spain Export and Investments, Community of Madrid, Madrid City Council, Spanish Center for Reprographic Rights (CEDRO). It also has the collaboration of Acción Cultural Española (AC / E) and the Madrid Publishers Association.
